Hi, I’m Emily Soo Weber, and I’m running to be your next city councilwoman, representing Kansas City’s 4th District At-Large! 

I currently serve as the State Representative for Missouri House District 24, first elected in November 2020. Encouraged by my community to step forward, I ran to represent our shared values and to be a strong, effective voice in Jefferson City. Working paycheck to paycheck, juggling multiple jobs, facing unequal pay, gender and racial inequity, and at times living without health care, prepared me, often without realizing it, to serve and continue to shape my commitment to public service.

Kansas City’s greatest strength is its diverse communities, many of which I’m proud to call home. That’s why I’m running to unite people, listen to our neighbors, find common ground, and build a shared vision for a stronger, more vibrant Kansas City on the City Council.
